VASARI participates in the 41st edition of the photography fair in New York “The photography show, presented by AIPAD”. In this catalog we bring you the selection of works that make up our shipment, which will consist of a Solo Show by Annemarie Heinrich.
Annemarie Heinrich (Germany, 1912-Argentina, 2005) was a pivotal figure in the development of modern photography in Argentina. Recognized for her work as a portraitist of film, theater and dance stars since the mid-1930s, her commitment led her to promote key initiatives for the photographic medium. She co-founded the mythical experimental group La Carpeta de los Diez, as well as the Argentine Photography Council and the Foto Club Buenos Aires. For the 41st edition of The Photography Show, Vasari will dedicate a solo show to this artist, featuring a selection of vintage photographs in which her personal style and fundamental concerns may be appreciated: constant formal experimentation, the use of chiaroscuro and multiple exposures, as well as her sensitivity to the face and the human body. Portraits, nudes, hands and feet, figures of dance and theater, are recurring iconographies in her imaginary that will be part of the exhibition

Vasari has been a member of AIPAD (The Association of International Photography Art Dealers) since 2008 and participates annually of its NYC show. This year, the fair opens on May 19 and will take place until Sunday 22, at Center415, Fifth Avenue between 37th and 38th streets, New York City
